This year St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Washington DC is launching its 40th Annual Russian Bazaar - Multicultural Festival.

The festival will take place on the weekend of September 30th - October 1st. We expect over 2,000 visitors to be hosted by over 200 volunteers. There will be a food court with traditional foods, entertainment for all ages, dancing and musical performances, jewelry, antique books and souvenirs, plus cathedral tours.

The mission of the Russian Bazaar is to raise funds for benevolent causes while at the same time connecting people of different backgrounds and cultures.

 Profits will go to feed and clothe the poor and homeless in DC, support refugees and victims of the war in Ukraine, help parishioners in crisis, as well as benefit our Church’s many missions overseas.

Organization of this two-day event, besides logistics and planning, involves significant financial expenses, including purchasing food ingredients, paying the invited performers, renting tents, tables and canopies, printing brochures and launching an advertising campaign to expand our outreach. Our social media, Facebook and Instagram have thousands of loyal and active followers and our online community keeps growing.

These expenses take a big chunk of profit as we set the prices at an affordable level so everyone can enjoy the traditional food, entertainment and souvenirs. We invite you to support our festival and become a sponsor and receive PR for your organization.

We have several options for sponsorship as well as the option to donate funds in case you are not interested in promoting your organization at the Russian Bazaar. Any donation that you are willing to contribute will be deeply appreciated - no matter the amount. St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Cathedral is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
